Blip and Kingsford Get ‘Revved Up’ for NASCAR-Themed Series (Exclusive)

This Wednesday, July 10, Blip is premiering a new NASCAR-themed web series that it developed in partnership with popular charcoal brand Kingsford.

Revved Up” will offer a glimpse into the die-hard culture of racing fans by following two brothers, Mike and John Trupiano, as they embed themselves within the NASCAR community. The brothers will do everything from tailgaiting with NASCAR fans to going “behind the scenes” to show how a racing team prepares for each week’s race. “Revved Up” will feature appearances from NASCAR Sprint Cup driver Bobby Labonte and ESPN NASCAR analyst Brad Daugherty, as well as an array of team owners, track presidents, town mayors, and other NASCAR-obsessed locals.

The Trupiano brothers are no strangers to documenting sports fan culture. They are the duo behind “Tailgate32,” an independent web series which documented their trip around the country in a 42-foot RV as they attended a tailgate for every NFL team (there are 32) over the course of one football season.

The six-episode series, which will debut a new episode every week through August 14, was co-produced by Blip Studios and the Tailgate32 team. While “Revved Up” will premiere exclusively on Blip, we’re told that Blip is also considering YouTube channel partners for additional distribution.

The Kingsford deal was brokered by Blip and AKQA, the charcoal brand’s agency of record for digital media.
