Exclusive: J. Sibley Law Is the New IAWTV Chairman; Brent Weinstein Joins Board
About two weeks ago, the International Academy of Web Television selected five new members to its board of directors, a group that included John Orlando, head of digital development at Crackle, Kent Nichols, director of creator and talent relations at Blip, and Nick Fortunato, vice president and creative director at Dailymotion.
Today, VideoInk has exclusively learned that the new board has selected its chair and vice chair. J. Sibley Law, founder and CEO of Saxon Mills and a longtime industry executive/producer, has been appointed as the new chairman of the board of directors, with April Grant as the industry body’s new vice chair.
As we previously reported, Brent Weinstein, head of digital media at United Talent Agency, was in position to replace former board director Jenni Powell’s recently vacated seat. We can confirm today that Weinstein has indeed been selected to fill Powell’s board position for the remaining year. Weinstein has a history with the IAWTV, having played a role in the deal that the IAWTV set up with CES.Tags: Brent Weinstein, IAWTV, J. Sibley Law, online video, Saxon Mills, united talent agency
