The YouTube Musiconomy: Just How Big Is It? (Infographic)

Music is big in online video, and especially on the biggest distributor of online video: YouTube. How big? According to YouTube, Five of the top 10 trending videos on YouTube for 2013 were music videos (in one way or another). If that’s enough, among the 20 channels on YouTube that gained the most subscribers in 2013, 10 of them were music channels.

Last month, VideoInk tackled how big of a business music was in online video via our Music Special Issue. In it, we included some interesting data about the relationship between music, YouTube, and its gargantuan community. Here for your viewing and sharing pleasure, is some of that data.
