VidCon Voices: AndrewMFilms
Since the last VidCon, what are the changes you’ve seen to the YouTube platform/community, if any, and do you feel those changes are for the better?
I feel like this has been a trial and error type year for YouTube. They’ve done some great things with managing your stats and finding out who your audience is. I, however, live by the “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.” rule and feel that all the Google+ integration stuff is a bit intrusive. I miss the days when it was as simple as registering a username and starting your YouTube experience.
Part of a successful channel is regularly uploading content, but if you had to choose only ONE video of your own that best defines you and your channel, which would it be?
I have quite a few that would apply here, but if I had to choose one, it’d be Roller Coaster Tycoon in Real Life. I feel that video defines my channel quite well. It’s basically me re-imagining one of my most favorite childhood games and doing some fun, creative stuff with it!
Probably callofdutyboy9700. He seems to have lots of fun. All jokes aside, probably brony4lyfe93.
What’s your favorite comment one of your videos has ever received? The weirdest?
“U r the most stupid person I ever see”
Tell me something about the future of your channel. What’s something you haven’t done yet that you’d like to do? Whether it’s a collab with a certain person, a different kind of format, or something else!
People subscribed to my channel for cool, creative, funny videos with awesome VFX, and that is what I will continue to give them. I don’t plan on changing my style, but I am, however, doing bigger and better things with my VFX/stories as I progress as a content creator! One big thing I’m doing is listening and conversing with my audience. Even if they just have insights like “U r the most stupid person I ever see”, they’re the reason I am where I am now, so I genuinely want to be responsive to them take in whatever critiques/insight they might have.
