2013 Digital Video Ad Revenues Climbed to $2.8B (Study)
US “interactive advertising” revenues in 2013 hit an all-time high of $42.8 billion, up 17% from $36.6 billion in 2012.
The note comes from a report sponsored by the Interactive Advertising Bureau and conducted by the PwC US, which collects relevant revenue data directly from companies selling ads on digital platforms. (That said, PwC US adds that it doesn’t audit the information, and is simply collecting and presenting the information as it’s provided to them.)
Among the video highlights in the report, digital video, which here is set as a component of display-related ads, brought in $2.8 billion in 2013, up 19% from $2.3 billion in 2012. As a result, digital video has become the fourth-largest ad format, directly behind mobile, according to the report.Tags: IAB, PwC US, Research, video ad revenue, Video Advertising
