4th Annual Streamy Awards Adds New Categories, Nods to Vine
The upcoming Streamy Awards mark an exciting possibility for Vine creators. With several new categories, the 4th Annual Streamy Awards will now honor top Viners in three areas: comedy, creativity, and the pinnacle of six-second video success, Viner of the Year.
The online video awards will also pay tribute to YouTubers excelling in categories that reflect the platform’s biggest trends. Recognition for a standout collaboration, public service, cover song, indie work, and first-person series will acknowledge these creators.
Other new categories introduced for the next Streamy Awards embrace broader subjects like gaming, beauty, pranks, science and education, sports, and kids and family.
Furthermore, a novel “television category” breaks the Streamy mold by honoring traditional TV. The award ceremony will recognize shows on the bigger screen that manage to use original, digital content in a fresh way and that exhibit social media savvy.
Fan nominations for the 4th Annual Streamy Awards take place at www.streamys.org beginning today and closing on July 27. The entry process entails a flat fee for all categories covered within a single entry. The award ceremony itself will stream live this fall from Los Angeles.Tags: 4th annual streamy awards, Beauty, Collaborations, Cover Songs, gaming, new categories, pranks, Sports, Vine, youtube, YouTube Creators
