Above Average Debuts Oreo-Sponsored Holiday Series
Online comedy network Above Average has launched a new holiday-themed animated web series in partnership with Oreo.
“Deck the Balls,” features a famous brother/sister comedy duo, both of whom get remade into a cookie balls. In each episode, the duo will re-enact funny holiday stories from their lives. For instance, in the first episode, actor TJ Miller (“Silicon Valley”) and his sister Morgan Miller reminisce about their overly affectionate aunts. Two more episodes are planned for the series, rolling out over the next two Wednesdays.
The series was produced by Above Average in partnership with Mondelez International (which owns the Oreo brand), Starcom MediaVest Group, and SMG’s LiquidThread branded entertainment unit.
The live-action scenes were directed by Josh Ruben and Vincent Peone of J+V Films, with stop-motion elements directed by Mike Healy. Here’s the first episode:
