Adam Sandler’s First Movie on Netflix Will Star the Usual Suspects

When Adam Sandler signed a deal to make four feature films for Netflix, you might have guessed that at least one those movies would star some of the comedian’s most frequent collaborators.

His first film for Netflix, “Ridiculous 6,” will do just that, according to TheWrap. In the Happy Madison production, Sandler will act alongside Steve Buscemi, Rob Schneider, Jon Lovitz, Dan Aykroyd, Nick Swardson, Will Forte, Terry Crews, and Vanilla Ice. Per the report, the cast will also include Taylor Lautner (of “Grown Ups 2”), Nick Nolte, Whitney Cummings, Blake Shelton (a judge on “The Voice”), Chris Parnell, Lavell Crawford, and Luke Wilson.

The production of “Ridiculous 6” will begin next month. The movie will be spoof typical westerns, with Vanilla Ice said to be playing Mark Twain and Shelton posing as Wyatt Earp.

Overall, the plot should prove as ridiculous as the movie’s title, with Sandler playing an orphan “adopted” by an Indian tribe with “brothers” Crews, Wilson, Lautner, and Schneider. As for the rest of the cast, just think of the roles they usually play and you’ll probably have guessed spot-on how they’ll appear in the movie. For instance, Lovitz will play a powerful business owner.

Before Sandler’s deal with Netflix, “Ridiculous 6” was going to be either a Sony or a Paramount film. A release date hasn’t been announced yet.
