Alliant Content Launches Streaming Documentary Network XiveTV
XiveTV targets a relatively young demographic (25 to 34-year-olds) and offers long-form documentaries about science, history, wildlife, space, and more. Some titles on the service include “Cosmic Journeys,” “Tornado Chasers,” and “Psychic Investigators.” Series from Alliant Content such as “Pure History” and “SpaceRip” can also be found on the streaming network.
In addition to original content from XiveTV, the SVOD service includes video from Sky Vision, Digital Rights Group, Cineflix, and others.
XiveTV joins the SVOD service CuriosityStream in the streaming documentary space (which actually won’t launch until March 18) from the founder of the Discovery Channel, John Hendricks. Docurama, an ad-supported channel from Cinedigm, also focuses exclusively on documentary content.
Greg Diefenbach and Thomas Lucas (who’s behind “SpaceRip”) founded XiveTV.Tags: alliant content, Amazon, Cinedigm, curiositystream, Documentary, Docurama, Hulu, xivetv, youtube
