First Project from Jenks & Ratigan Is an ESPN ’30 for 30′ Digital Short
Jenks & Ratigan Productions, a new venture formed by TV producer and host Andrew Jenks and journalist Dylan Ratigan to produce movie, TV, and digital content, will premiere its first project on ESPN’s Grantland website.
Part of ESPN Films’ “30 for 30” sports-documentary banner, “Posterized: The Story of Shawn Bradley” will debut on Grantland’s site and YouTube channel on May 21. While the critically-acclaimed “30 for 30” series is most well-known for its long-form documentaries that air on ESPN’s cable channels, the unit also consistently releases “30 for 30 Shorts” as part of the overall initiative.
Jenks is best known for his MTV show “The World of Jenks” and the sports documentary “The Zen of Bobby V.” He also wrote, directed, produced, and starred in a YouTube series called “It’s About a Girl,” which co-starred YouTube star Taryn Southern.
Ratigan, meanwhile, is the former host of MSNBC’s “The Dylan Ratigan Show” as well as the author of the best-selling book “Greedy Bastards,” about the failures of the US banking and financial system.
Upcoming projects for Jenks & Ratigan Productions include a feature-length documentary about young HIV activists, which is set for a September release. Another, in partnership with Chip Rosenbloom (“Shiloh”), focuses on Ryan Ferguson, a man who spent 10 years in prison on a wrongful murder conviction.
The company is headquartered in New York.Tags: 30 for 30, Andrew Jenks, Documentary, Dylan Ratigan, espn, ESPN Films, MTV, Sports, Taryn Southern, World of Jenks
