Annual MIPLab Video Startup Competition Is Now Accepting Submissions
Now in its fifth year, the competition, previously called MIPCube Lab, is intended for tech startups that are “working on products to enable the traditional TV and online video industries to better exploit opportunities offered by online and cloud-based platforms.” Startups focused on social VOD, monetization solutions, and content management solutions, and so on, are also invited to submit.
Held during MIPTV, which next year will take place from April 13-16, interested startups have until March 2 to submit their entries. Five will be selected to compete in a public pitch session before an international jury.
Previous winners of the MIPLab include Swiss video distribution service Jilion, which was acquired by Dailymotion, and TVTY, which later raised $4.5 million.
The 2015 competition will once again be managed by Fabernovel, with finalists being announced in mid-March.Tags: Fabernovel, MIPLab, MIPTV, Reed MIDEM, Startup Competition, Video Tech
