AP Renews Live Streaming Deal with Streamworks International
The Associated Press has renewed its deal with Streamworks International to power live streams of the news organization’s breaking news coverage online.
Streamworks, a specialist in managing and operating live video streams across multiple platforms and devices, will continue to oversee the AP Video Hub, which provides publishers and other content providers with easy access to AP’s video content, including the outlet’s live news and events coverage. The Video Hub’s live service features a 24/7 stream of breaking news, as well as access to pre-planned news events like the election of Pope and the birth of the latest member of the British Royal Family.
According to Streamworks, the AP live video solution is available in multiple bitrates (including high-definition), is platform neutral, and offers traffic and other data analytics.
The partnership originated in 2012 when AP decided to bring its breaking news video service, AP Direct, to the web.
