Above Average Debuts New Toon Series ‘Tiny Town’
Online comedy network Above Average has premiered a new animated series called “Tiny Town.”
The weekly sketch comedy series, created and written by Above Average’s in-house team of Emily Altman (staff writer), Dan Mirk (staff writer), and Tim Bierbaum (director), follows the inhabitants of a magical strip mall. With the weekly sketch set-up, Above Average says the show’s sketches/episodes will look to be topical, and will make use of both the main characters and special guest stars.
For instance, the first episode, which is embedded right below, features an appearance from Russian president Vladimir Putin, who’s kind of been in the news lately.
The “Tiny Town” voice cast is headlined by Altman, Mirk, and Bierbaum. Along with directing, Bierbaum provided photography and character design, with animation coming from Matt Ballard. Celeste Ballard of Above Average serves as producer. Tags: Above Average, Animated, Cartoons, comedy, youtube
