Barco to Showcase Three-Screen Movie Format with Devin Supertramp
Barco’s rolling out a new way to watch movies. Called Barco Escape, the movie format includes three screens, positioned like this:
Barco first showcased the Barco Escape in September by screening scenes from YA movie “The Maze Runner” on the three-screen format. On March 1, Barco will present the movie format again at the first Future of Film Showcase at the Cinequest Film Festival, featuring a video from YouTuber Devin Graham (aka Devin Supertramp).
With around 2.8 million subscribers on YouTube, Devin Supertramp makes live action adventure videos featuring activities like mountain biking and base-jumping. His content will appear on Barco Escape along with short films from various Cinequest directors.
A panel will accompany the Barco Escape screening at Cinequest, which will feature Ted Schilowitz (Barco’s “CinemaVangelist” and Fox’s Futurist—yes, the guy has some great job titles) among other Fox execs. All this will take place at Camera 12 Cinemas in San Jose.Tags: 20th Century Fox, barco, barco escape, cinequest film festival, devin supertramp, Fox, future of film showcase, ted schilowitz, the maze runner, YouTube Creators
