‘Better Homes and Gardens’ Debuts on Portico TV

Net2TV has partnered with Meredith, the publishing house behind Better Homes and Gardens, to launch a new half-hour show based on the magazine brand.

“Better Homes and Gardens” will focus on home improvements and other domestic activities like cooking, decorating, and hosting parties. The 30-minute show debuts on August 27 with an episode to gear viewers up for Labor Day weekend festivities.

It will be available on Net2TV’s Portico TV service, which is designed to bring web video content to connected-TV screens in a fashion similar to TV. Net2TV works with content partners to repackage content into TV-length shows, which it then distributes on an ad-supported basis.

Better Homes and Gardens boasts over 2 million fans on Facebook in addition to its strong Pinterest presence, giving the brand’s new show a built-in audience.

Appearing twice monthly on Net2TV’s Portico TV service, “Better Homes and Gardens” will be available to watch on various smart TVs, Roku, and Toshiba devices. Portico TV is currently available on more than 30 million connected-TV screens, according to Net2TV, and also offers an online viewing option at www.portico.tv.
