Fuse Gives ‘Billy on the Street’ a Third Season

/ Jul 16, 2013

Call this another (or the continuation of a) web-to-TV success story: Fuse has picked up “Funny or Die’s Billy on the Street” for a third season.

The comedy/game-show/street-interview series, which features comedian Billy Eichner subjecting various New Yorkers to ridiculous trivia games and contests, will return for 10 new, half-hour episodes in early 2014. Sometimes Eichner brings in a celebrity or two to participate in whatever ridiculous (but hilarious) idea he has concocted. Last season of “Billy on the Street” featured celebrities like Will Ferrell, Maya Rudolph, Zachary Quinto, Rashida Jones, Nas, Hank Azaria, and Julie Klausner.

Eichner’s work on the show recently garnered him a Daytime Emmy nomination in the “Outstanding Game Show Host” category.

The show is executive produced by Eichner, Mike Farah, Funny or Die’s president of production, and Anna Wenger.

Eichner is repped by WME and 3 Arts.
