YouTube Music Monetizer AdRev Names New President
Brian Felsen, the former president of CD Baby, has moved over to AdRev to serve as the company’s president. AdRev works within the YouTube ecosystem to monetize and license music across the platform, accounting for upwards of 6 million copyrights across 27.5 million YouTube videos.
In addition to creating new products at AdRev, Felsen will work on the company’s strategy and overall expansion. At CD Baby, an independent music distributor, Felsen founded BookBaby, which helps bring authors’ work to people all around the globe.
As Ryan Born, AdRev’s CEO said of Felsen in a statement, “He’s uniquely qualified to take the helm with his understanding of the space. I’m confident in Brian’s intuitive feel for the needs of artists, publishers, and labels, and in his ability to leverage our technology to create exciting new revenue opportunities for rights holders and content creators.”
