BroadbandTV Launches Music Network, Opposition
Vancouver-based BroadbandTV is launching a music network, Opposition.
The network will have content partners like artist KXNG Crooked, YouTube channel Twista, and producers Jahlil Beats, 1500 or Nothin’, and Statik Selektah, all with a focus on hip hop. Brand partnerships so far include WorldStarHipHop and All Hip Hop All the Time (did I mention the network will focus on hip hop?).
Opposition will promote emerging talent in addition to well-known artists hoping to “establish a strong online video presence for fans to interact,” as KXNG Crooked said in a statement.
Currently, BroadbandTV claims over 300 million subscribers across its various networks on YouTube. As one of the platform’s largest media networks, BroadbandTV’s history lies in helping brands manage and make money off their content on YouTube. Recently, the company’s started working on original content as part of a deal with FremantleMedia North America, BroadbandTV’s sister company under the RTL Group, which spans the genres of gaming, general entertainment, and music. It’s also been expanding geographically, having opened a sales office in New York in November.Tags: all hip hop all the time, BroadbandTV, Hip-Hop, kxng crooked, opposition, twista, worldstarhiphop, youtube
