Buffer Festival Is Finally Here
The Buffer Film Festival is officially here. Running this entire weekend, the inaugural Buffer Festival was conceived by YouTuber and filmmaker Corey Vidal, who took inspiration from the annual Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF). The goal of the event is to highlight those creating content for YouTube in a manner similar to what you see at such festivals.
The three-day festival will take place across Toronto’s entertainment district in five separate theaters, including the historic Bell TIFF Lightbox and Scotiabank theatre.
Buffer Festival will feature YouTube screenings and panels hosted by creators like Hannah Hart, Grace Helbig, Joe Penna (MysteryGuitarMan), and ASAP Science. In addition, attendees will also have access to industry-centric panels about the YouTube community as a whole. Panels will range from topics like viral videos to the business of vlogging.
Buffer Festival was launched in conjunction with Vidal’s production company ApprenticeA and partners YouTube, Contiki, Blue Ant Media, Canon, TIFF Next Wave Committee, Cineplex Entertainment, InsideDigital.org, and producing partner CFC (Canadian Film Centre).Tags: Buffer Festival, Corey Vidal, Grace Helbig, Hannah Hart, TIFF, Toronto International Film Festival, youtube
