‘Buzz60’ Is YouTube’s Latest ‘On the Rise’ Channel
Zazoom’s daily news series, “Buzz60,” has been picked by YouTube as the site’s featured “On the Rise” partner for November 2013.
YouTube’s On the Rise program is designed to promote a new up-and-coming creator/channel every month to the site’s wider audience. Each month YouTube nominates four finalists and asks its community to vote on which channel should be featured the following month. The site then internally reviews the results and evaluates each nominee based on criteria like quality original content, channel performance, and community support.
It’s been a banner year for “Buzz60” on YouTube, as Zazoom says the show’s dedicated channel has grown its subscriber count past 21,000. The daily series looks to cull the most interesting news stories of the day and put an editorial spin on the item in an effort to drive additional views and engagement.
As YouTube’s latest On the Rise parter, Buzz60 will receive promotion across the site’s ecosystem beginning today. This includes showing up next to YouTube videos (in the “Featured” slot next to the player) as well as on the YouTube blog and its other social media channels.Tags: Buzz60, Daily Series, Emerging Channels, News, On the Rise, youtube, Zazoom
