Carrie-Anne Moss Cast in Marvel and Netflix’s ‘Jessica Jones’
Carrie-Anne Moss has landed a recurring role for Marvel’s “Jessica Jones” series for Netflix.
“The Matrix” star will play a “no-nonsense woman who could be a powerful ally to Jessica… if she’s not completely alienated by her first,” according to Marvel.
Moss joins a cast that includes Krysten Ritter (“Breaking Bad”) as the titular Jones, Rachael Taylor (“Grey’s Anatomy”) as her best friend Trisha Walker, David Tennant (“Doctor Who,” “Broadchurch”) as the villainous Kilgrave, and Mike Colter as “Luke Cage” (who’s getting his own series on Netflix).
Produced by Marvel Television for Netflix, as part of a multi-series pact signed by the studio and the streaming service, “Jessica Jones” will follow an ex-superhero who tries to rebuild her personal and professional life by starting a detective agency.
The series will premiere on Netflix in 2015, following “Daredevil,” which will debut on April 10.Tags: Carrie-Anne Moss, Casting, Marvel, Marvel Television, Netflix, netflix originals
