Smashbox and CDS Start Program for Beauty Influencers

Collective Digital Studio partners with Smashbox on program for beauty vloggers

Collective Digital Studio has partnered with Smashbox Cosmetics on a program that lets YouTube beauty creators and other “new media style influencers” into Los Angeles’s Smashbox Studios to shoot original content.

Called “Made at Smashbox,” the initiative is in part a way to show off Smashbox’s recently renovated studio (which cost $7 million). Video creators will use the new equipment and benefit from a personal development and production team free of cost from Smashbox and CDS.

“Made at Smashbox” will also supply these creators with their own makeup artists and stylists, which seems a bit redundant, considering these creators are, for the most part, makeup artists themselves.

Though no specific beauty creators have been connected to the program yet, CDS’s influencers in this area include Lauren Curtis, Weylie Hoang, Meredith Foster, Makeupgeektv, and Blair and Elle Fowler. James Chen, the creative director for Wendy’s Lookbook, will act as the creative director of “Made at Smashbox” for CDS.
