Celebrate Thanksgiving with YouTube
Thanksgiving is just around the corner. Soon, your life will be a tornado of tryptophan with a slice of family members you can’t stand. Sure, the holidays are stressful, but that doesn’t mean you can just hole yourself up in a room watching YouTube videos all day. Wait, yes you can. Forget everything I just said and celebrate this Thanksgiving with the people who matter most in your life: YouTubers.
1. Jenna Marbles – “Better Names for Foods”
Building off of her better names for animals series, Jenna Marbles is taking on Thanksgiving’s most well known dishes and giving them new monikers. Why refer to a pumpkin pie as a pumpkin pie when you can just call it a pumpkin regret wheel? When your uncle Brad asks you to pass the turkey, you can act like you have no idea what he is talking about, then say: “Oh, you mean the sleepy meat. Here you go, Uncle Brad.”
2. Epic Meal Time – “Bacon Cornucopia”
It wouldn’t be a Thanksgiving YouTuber bonanza without something from the kings of calories. Creating an unholy abomination known as a bacon cornucopia, Harley Morenstein and his EMT crew have built this holiday horror show out of bacon (of course), a turkey stuffed with double cheeseburgers, and pure regret.
3. Jamie Oliver – “Turkey Free Running”
Jamie Oliver is one of the biggest names in modern cooking. So it’s no surprise that he’s pulling out all the stops for this holiday. Of course, his YouTube channel, Food Tube, has been jam-packed with recipes all week, but I bet you weren’t expecting a parkour turkey. Luckily, we can all check off “watch a turkey-man do a backflip” from our collective bucket lists.
2. Hannah Hart – “Thanksgiving Day Translations”
Hannah Hart is here to offer you some tips on what your family members are really saying around the Thanksgiving table this year. Is your dad asking you how the job search is going? Well, what that really means is that he is probably sick of paying for your broke ass. Never let your family fool you with their crafty doublespeak ever again.
1. Mamrie Hart – “Alcoholidays: Let’s Get Sauced”
It wouldn’t be Thanksgiving dinner without someone getting blind drunk and making a scene — why shouldn’t it be you? Luckily, Mamrie Hart is here with an episode of “Alcoholidays” aimed at getting you sauced before, during, and after turkey time. Remember uncle Brad from before? Now you can tell him to go to hell after you’ve had two or six of these cranberry sauce cosmopolitans. Tags: epic meal time, Food Tube, Hannah Hart, Jamie Oliver, Jenna Marbles, Mamrie Hart, youtube
