CNE Hires Joe Sabia to Head Digital Development

Conde Nast Entertainment has named Joe Sabia head of digital development for the company’s digital video channels.

In the new role, Sabia will be responsible for developing video series for Conde Nast magazine brand channels and The Scene, the video portal that houses them all (as well as content from CNE syndication partners). He will report to Michael Klein, EVP of programming and content strategy, digital channels.

CNE is high on Sabia partly because of their previous work together. He is the creator of two shows for CNE, “Improv Imagination” for Vanity Fair, and “73 Questions” for Vogue, which has become one of the more notable series across CNE’s programming slate.

Beyond CNE, Sabia is the co-founder of the YouTube music collective CDZA, which was nominated for a Webby Award in 2013.

Sabia started his entertainment career at HBO, where he was working on an experimental interactive arm that produced videos sucha s “Seven-Minute Sopranos,” which recapped the entire “Sopranos” series in, yes, seven minutes.
