CNE Names Claudia Sulewski ‘Host’ of Teen Vogue’s Video Channel
Conde Nast Entertainment is now naming “hosts” for its YouTube channels — starting with teen beauty star Claudia Sulewski — as the company continues to expand its relationships with the YouTube creator community.
As host, Sulewski will work with CNE and the Teen Vogue editorial teams to create and curate relevant videos for Teen Vogue’s YouTube audience. This includes a weekly series, the first episode of which follows the star as she visits the Teen Vogue offices in New York City.
The partnership comes a few months after CNE signed beauty star Kandee Johnson as its “lead digital contributor for beauty.” As part of that deal, CNE will collaborate with Johnson to produce multiple original web series and provide her with distribution and ad-sales support. (The two will also work together to develop film and TV projects for the beauty star.)
Johnson’s deal with CNE is similar in nature to what top creators typically have with major MCNs. It’s unclear if Sulewski’s deal provides the same type and level of support.
“Claudia is a talented young star that speaks directly to the Teen Vogue audience and we’re thrilled to have her on board,” said Michael Klein, EVP of programming and content strategy, digital channels at CNE, in a statement. “This is another step in our broader CNE strategy of celebrating YouTube audiences by bringing on the right influencers for the right channels.”
Additional influencers will be partnered with Conde Nast’s video channels in the coming year, the company said.
Sulewski has more than 1 million subscribers on YouTube. Teen Vogue has more than 200,000.
