DCNF: Collective Digital Studio Joins the DigitasLBi Newfront Party

Collective Digital Studio did not hold a Newfront this year. But the company was a part of DigitasLBi’s event for its brand clients and other important people in the industry.

The MCN produced “Fearless,” a short video set to the event’s theme of not being afraid to take risks and succeeding through that failure. I’ve embedded the video below. Watch it, it’s a pretty good spot, and features a lot of the top CDS talent, including Harley Morenstein, Hannah Hart, Lilly Singh (Superwoman), and Dave Days.

Interestingly, CDS was referred to as DigitasLBi’s MCN partner. This relationship, I’m told, involves DigitasLBi working with CDS on original content and media, as well as collaborating with the network’s lineup of creators (“influencers”).

At the Newfront, Morenstein took to the stage to do a quick presentation about his success on the internet with “Epic Meal Time,” and how that has led to his success in the real world, from sponsorships to a strong merchandising business, and soon, a TV show on FYI Network.

It’s possible to succeed by doing something different and interesting on the web, he essentially told the brand people in the audience. For brands, that could mean collaborating with top YouTube stars. It was a message that was subtly reiterated multiple times throughout DigitasLBi’s Newfront.
