Comedians Tell Strange True Stories in New Above Average Series (Exclusive)

/ Oct 21, 2013

YouTube comedy network Above Average is debuting a new web series tomorrow called “Storytime,” which will feature comedians reenacting bizarre true things that have happened to them by playing every character in the scene.

The first episode, starring NY-based comedienne Aparna Nancherla, will debut tomorrow at 10am ET. She will recount a “New York Moment” that almost turned deadly. Two more episodes have been produced so far, both of which will roll out later this week. In Wednesday’s episode, Eric Andre will talk about an encounter with a prostitute in Amsterdam, and in Thursday’s video, Jonathan Ames will chat about a boxing match he had with a stranger in a hotel room.

As is the nature with some Above Average programming, expect more episodes to roll out based on how successful the first three are, as well as the availability of those who would be featured in the program.

Each of the comedians wrote their respective episodes, with Chioke Nassor directing all three. “Storytime” is produced by Julie Miller and Above Average’s Josh Poole.
