Comedy Central Web Series Turns into Feature Film Starring Jason Nash

Ever heard of the comedian/actor/writer Jason Nash? Though you very well may not have, he does have 1 million followers across social media, including close to 800,000 followers on Vine.

He also has a new movie set to premiere across digital outlets this June. His one-man show “In the Land of Tall Buildings and Red Fire Engines” grew into the web series “Jason Nash is Married,” which will now premiere as a feature-length film on June 24. The series that was originally developed for cc.com, Comedy Central’s website, will now put Nash on the big screen with his real life wife, Busy Phillips, and comedic associates.

Written, directed, and executive produced by Nash, the movie follows a fictionalized version of the author (and star) through the lows and, well, really just the lows of pitching a television show while struggling to prove his worth to his bread-winning wife, Phillips. “Jason Nash is Married” features an all-star comedic cast including H. Jon Benjamin, Andy Richter, Matt Walsh, Patton Oswalt, and numerous others. Fellow executive producers include Ravi Subramanian and David Martin.

Already available for pre-order on iTunes and Amazon, “Jason Nash is Married” provides a comedian’s take on coming to grips with harsh personal and professional realities. Nash has also addressed the topic through his GQ interview web series, “How To Be A Man,” and he made into the semi-finals on 2010’s “Last Comic Standing.”
