Complex TV Launches ‘Desus Vs Mero’
Complex Media has premiered “Desus Vs Mero,” a new weekly series hosted by Bronx natives Desus and Kid Mero.
In the show, which is based on Desus and Mero’s podcast of the same name, the two hosts will dish on current events and trends, all with an eye toward things that are relevant to Complex’s young, urban audience.
At the moment, 12 episodes are planned for the video version of “Desus Vs Mero,” which will debut new episodes every Friday. Complex will publish the longer, uncensored podcast version of each episode on the following Tuesday.
“Desus Vs Mero” is produced by Donnie Kwak, with Rebecca Niles serving as production manager and Justin Lundstrom as director of production. Complex TV, the company’s original video division, is led by GM Nathan Brown and VP of programming and development Adam Soldinger.
The show was first announced in February, as part of Complex TV’s latest original programming slate, which also includes EDM series “The Drop,” food show “10 Dishes,” and hip-hop debate series “Classic Status.”
In total, Complex currently has 18 original series in production or development. Complex TV claims a monthly audience of over 100 million unique viewers.Tags: Complex, Complex Media, Complex TV, desus vs mero, podcasts
