Cooking Channel to Serve ‘Fodder’ Web Series as TV Special
Before Grace Helbig and Mamrie Hart made “Camp Takota” and “#HeyUSA,” they co-starred in a sketch-comedy web series for Scripps Networks Interactive’s Cooking Channel. Now that series, called “Fodder,” will air as a special on Cooking Channel.
Initially debuting in 2012, “Fodder” takes a humorous approach to all things food, from crazy celebrity chefs to pitch sessions involving different shows Cooking Channel could make involving food. It originally ran for two seasons, with season one exclusively airing on CookingChannel.com and season two expanding to both Cooking Channel’s website and YouTube Channel. (All episodes and additional content are currently available via YouTube.)
In addition to Helbig and Hart, “Fodder” also starred Sasheer Zamata in her pre-”SNL” days as well as a cadre of funny people from the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre.
The TV special, which will feature sketches from the web series, will air on April 1 at 11pm ET/8pm PT that night.Tags: Cooking Channel, fodder, food, Grace Helbig, Mamrie Hart, Sasheer Zamata, Scripps Networks Interactive, sketch comedy, UCB Theatre, web to tv
