Dailymotion and INDMUSIC Make Content Distribution Deal
Per the agreement, the two companies will work together to produce and distribute branded content exclusively for Dailymotion.
It kicked off with the series “INDMUSIC Presents the Great Outdoors,” which debuted earlier in September on Dailymotion. Including eight music videos from four INDMUSIC artists, the series takes place in the Catskills and captures these artists’ performances.
In this way, INDMUSIC is also offering its roster of talent new opportunities in the digital space. By featuring talent in this content, the musicians ostensibly have the opportunity to reach a wider audience.
“We’ve established ourselves as the best in music rights management and monetization,” says Brandon Martinez, the company’s CEO, “and now we’re also giving artists more options for promotion and exposure to as many artists as possible on as many platforms as possible. We’re making that objective a reality by showcasing our partners’ content on Dailymotion.”
On the monetization front, which INDMUSIC has long specialized in on YouTube, the company recently struck a deal with SoundCloud to help its artists monetize that platform.
Correction: An original version of this article incorrectly stated that INDMUSIC artists will be able to upload and monetize their work much in the same way they can on YouTube. That is not part of this deal, which primarily focuses on branded content and promotion. We regret the error.Tags: branded content, Dailymotion, indmusic, indmusic presents the great outdoors, music, soundcloud
