Dana Delany Cast in Amazon Studios Pilot ‘Hand of God’
Maybe the most interesting of Amazon Studios’ newest batch of pilots that are currently in development (if you’ve lost track, we’re now pretty much entering the third round) is “Hand of God.” The show tells the story of a less-than-morally-righteous judge who has a high-end call girl on the side. The man has a religious awakening when he starts seeing visions and hearing voices coming from his ventilator-bound son, as if God might be speaking directly to him.
Weird, if interesting. Then you see the show’s cast and crew, which is headlined by Ron Perlman (“Sons of Anarchy”) and Garret Dillahunt (“Raising Hope”), and Marc Foster (“World War Z”) on board as the director for the pilot.
The show continues to add to its talented roster with the casting of two-time Emmy Award winner Dana Delany (“Body Proof”) in the role of the judge’s (Perlman) wife.
“Hand of God” is one of two new dramas in development at Amazon Studios — the other being “Hysteria,” which recently cast Mena Suvari in the lead role.
Going into production in April, “Hand of God” is executive produced by Perlman and Brian Wilkins.Tags: Amazon, Amazon Originals, amazon prime, Amazon Prime Instant Video, Amazon Studios, dana delany, Garret Dillahunt, ron perlman
