DanceOn to Debut New Season of ‘The Edge’ on Samsung’s Milk Video
Premiering today, “The Edge” is a celebrity-focused music documentary series that spotlights major artists and their work. The second season debuts with an episode featuring Sia, with additional episodes to come featuring Meghan Trainor and Ne-Yo, among others.
Focused on dance and music, DanceOn’s network currently reaches more than 15 million subscribers. Its flagship channel has nearly 376,000 subscribers on YouTube. The upcoming season of “The Edge” will become available on DanceOn’s YouTube channel and DanceOn.com after its premiere on Milk Video (though how long after has not been specified).
DanceOn isn’t the first to hand over some original content exclusively to Milk Video. The mobile video discovery service recently launched by Samsung already has content licensing deals with major publishers like Conde Nast Entertainment, BuzzFeed, Vice, Vevo, Funny or Die, and Red Bull. Original series to debut on Milk Video will include Funny or Die’s “Dumb Gentlemen’s Handbook” and an as yet unnamed one from Vice.
