Defy Media Hires Mark Gall to Head Sales Staff
Defy Media just announced its hire of Mark Gall as the company’s new chief revenue officer. There, he will head the sales staff and focus on the digital content company’s advertising solutions.
Coming from an EVP of TV and digital ad sales position at BBC Worldwide, Gall has worked in the media sales realm for over twenty years, holding positions The Weather Channel, Tribute Broadcasting, Discovery Communications, and CNN.
Matthew Diamond, Defy Media’s CEO, said of the hire, “Mark joins Defy Media at an exciting moment as we continue to track significant growth across our digital platforms and expand our video programming and mobile offerings. His deep experience working with clients across both traditional and digital media has provided him with a keen understanding of the challenges and opportunities in the current media environment.”
This video programming expansion includes a number of new video additions set to roll out this fall, like the second season of “Prank It FWD,” “Gentleman Up: A Mission To Be Better Men,” and “Smosh: Food Battle.”
Defy Media currently boasts 400 million monthly video views, with about 155 million viewers.
