Hannah Hart’s awaited recipe book, “My Drunk Kitchen: A Guide to Eating, Drinking, and Going with Your Gut,” is available for purchase today. To celebrate the announcement, Hart made this video with another renowned food personality with an online presence—none other than Jamie Oliver, the man behind FoodTube.
Hart’s new book, out in digital and physical bookstores alike, features the culinary concoctions from her years of drunken cooking on YouTube. The digital video star is about to embark on a three-city book tour, starting off tomorrow in New York for the launch party at Housing Works Bookstore Café. On August 20, Hart will promote her new book in Austin, followed by a reading and signing in San Francisco on the 23.
Today’s digital book promotion does not mark Hart’s first collaboration with Oliver. She also makes a reciprocal appearance on YouTube’s FoodTube today, helping Oliver make spotted dick, an “old school British pudding” that looks far more delicious than its name suggests.
HarperCollins published “My Drunk Kitchen” under the company’s It Book imprint. Hart’s book has already made its way to the top of Amazon’s bestseller chart in the Pop Culture and Art section. As the YouTube creator boats over 1.3 million subscribers to her channel, this burst in popularity doesn’t come as much of a surprise.
