Electus Announces Partnership with Eminem’s Shady Films
Production studio Electus announced a partnership with with rapper Eminem’s production company Shady Films today at TheGrill Media Leadership Conference, produced by TheWrap. The partnership will make Shady Films a part-owner of hip-hop website WatchLoud.com. In turn, WatchLoud.com will have first-look rights on all content produced by Shady Films.
Electus has previously worked with Shady Films on the reality web series “Detroit Rubber,” which documented Michigan-based sneaker store Burn Rubber. Season two of the series is now in production.
Electus CEO Ben Silverman also expressed at the conference that a longer-form version of “Detroit Rubber” is being developed for Fuse. Currently, the WatchLoud YouTube channel sports over 180,000 subscribers and 367 uploaded videos.Tags: Ben Silverman, Detroit Rubber, electus, Shady Films, youtube
