A ‘This Is The End’ for YouTube: Chester See Talks Upcoming Feature-Length Film
Chester See has a bunch of new projects on the up and up, but one that he mentions at the end of his interview with Rhett & Link on their podcast, “Ear Biscuits,” really caught our attention. Besides a song about his new crush (as per usual), the next two parts of the full-length “Side Effects,” and his work on a company targeted towards YouTube’s music scene, See spoke of another feature film that will make it to our personal computers.
“The movie,” See described, “is really, really cool; think ‘This Is The End’ for the YouTube community.” Though he wouldn’t say who the director is just yet (hinting that it’s someone Rhett & Link also know), See did mention that the guys who wrote “There’s Something About Mary” are involved.
See and others plan to release the film in the same style as “Side Effects” and “Camp Takota,” piece by piece and figuring out the distribution plan post content creation. With a “pretty good budget,” stellar cast, and an official announcement for the film expected next month, keep an eye out for something big coming from YouTube.Tags: Camp Takota, Chester See, Ear Biscuits, Rhett & Link, This Is the End, youtube, YouTube creator
