FanBridge Launches Online Directory for Creators Looking to Connect with Brands

/ Sep 12, 2013

FanBridge — the folks behind several intuitive CRM tools for YouTube creators — have launched a new platform to help creators collaborate with each other. An online directory of sorts, Channel Pages by FanBridge allows creators to create personalized pages to find other content creators and brands looking for talent.

Channel Pages works similarly to the types of profiles found on any given social media platform with the exception that they are not open for public access. The idea behind Channel Pages is simply to have a place where creators and brands can connect in an industry where sharing public contact info is often frowned upon.

Connecting brands to creators isn’t necessarily a new concept as companies such as ZEFR and Subblime have launched similar products in the past. Additionally, most partners signed with MCNs are also given opportunities to connect with brands via backend programs like Fullscreen’s “Gorilla” platform.

Channel Pages differs from these past platforms simply because it also facilitates interaction between creators who may be interested in collaborating. With this, creators can now link up while avoiding public outlets like Twitter or Facebook. However, it will be interesting to see how many “top 100” YouTube creators will sign up for the service, given that collaborations with them are highly sought after by smaller creators looking to boost their numbers.

Isn’t collaboration already one of the main things joining an MCN is about? MCN’s offer this already. Why can’t this be added by Fullscreen to Gorilla as a feature?

Most MCN’s already use FanBridge services, so there should be crossover.
