Finnish Pranksters The Dudesons Sign with Base79
Finnish pranksters The Dudesons have linked up with Base79, the largest multi-channel network outside of North America.
Per the deal, Base79 will oversee audience development for The Dudesons’ YouTube channel, which currently boasts more than 380,000 subscribers, while also handling rights management and ad sales. Additionally, Base79 says it will seek out opportunities to syndicate the pranksters’ content to new platforms.
The partnership will be managed by Base79 USA, which is overseen by Ben Lister.
The Dudesons are currently in the US producing collaborations with other popular pranksters on YouTube, including VitalyzdTV, Roman Atwood, Sam Pepper, and Chris Pontius. The latest series of collaborations with Atwood have generated more than 10 million views between both YouTube channels. New videos, as well as various “classic pranks,” are on the docket, set to be released on The Dudesons’ channel throughout 2014.
The Dudesons are well-known on YouTube from their stunt comedy pranks, including this one they did with Johnny Knoxville. The group, which consists of four individuals, is the second-most subscribed channel out of Finland. Outside of YouTube, the collective produced a movie in 2006, which so far has found distribution in 13 different countries, including all of North America, Australia, New Zealand, and more recently, Holland, Belgium, Denmark, and Sweden.Tags: Base79, Johnny knoxville, MCN, Roman Atwood, Sam Pepper, The Dudesons, VitalyzdTV, youtube, YouTube creator
