Former Pro Wrestler Chris Jericho to Star in New Web Series

/ Oct 23, 2013

No one freak out, but the guy who created the world’s greatest/most-painful wrestling move — The Walls of Jericho — is launching a web series with Canadian broadcaster Shaw Media.

The series, “But I’m Chris Jericho,” was co-written by and stars former pro-wrestler Chris Jericho, the man behind not only The Walls, but the Lionsault and Codebreaker. The web show will appear on and Shaw Media’s Action YouTube channel beginning October 29.

“But I’m Chris Jericho” follows Jericho (playing a heightened version of himself) as he struggles to become an actor. Naturally, antics ensue. The 10-part series will also feature comedians Andy Kindler and Scott Thompson.

“But I’m Chris Jericho” will also support complimentary webisodes that tie into the series, featuring Laurie Elliott and Christian Potenza, who also star in the main program.

Insight Production Company and Shaw Media produced the series with financial backing from the Ontario Media Development Corporation and the Independent Production Fund. John Brunton and Barbara Bowlby executive produced.
