Fox Orders More Episodes of Jukin Media’s ‘World’s Funniest Fails’

/ Feb 13, 2015

Fox has ordered eight more episodes of “World’s Funniest Fails,” an unscripted comedy series from Jukin Media and Dick Clark Productions.

Hosted by Terry Crews (“Brooklyn Nine-Nine”), “World’s Funniest Fails” showcases some of the top “epic fail” videos online. It features a panel of comedians, who comment on the videos and select their favorites, and then try to convince Crews to crown their choice as the “Fail of the Week.”

“Fails” is inspired by Jukin Media’s Fail Army YouTube channel, which also serves as the source of the clips used on the show.

It’s been a pretty solid success story for Fox, which says that “Fails” is tied for first in its time period among men 18-34 and teens, and tied for second in its time period among all adults 18-34. The series has also improved on Fox’s previous season average in that time period by 38% among all adults 18-49, 60% among all adults 18-34, 50% with teens, and 45% with total viewers.

“The Fail Army audience online been incredibly supportive of the show, and they’ve been a big part of its success,” said Jon Skogmo, founder and CEO of Jukin Media, in a statement. “Hopefully this will open some eyes in the broadcast/network TV world as to the impact that a dedicated, built-in digital audience can make on viewership.”

“Fails” is produced by Dick Clark Productions and Jukin Media. Executive producers include Allen Shapiro, Mike Mahan, Jon Skogmo, Josh Entman, and Nicolle Yaron, with Mark Bracco, Assaf Blecher, and Aliyah Silverstein co-executive producing.

New episodes of “World’s Funniest Fails” air every Friday night on Fox, starting at 8pm ET/PT.
