Fox Orders Unscripted TV Series Based on Jukin Media’s Fail Army Channel
Jukin Media’s “Fail Army” brand is coming to your TV sets in the United States, too.
The unscripted TV series, which has a working title of “World’s Funniest Fails,” will debut on the broadcast network on Friday, January 16, at 8pm ET/PT. Pulling clips from the Fail Army channel, the series will feature a panel of comedians who analyze the viral “epic fail” videos in order to determine which one is the “Fail of the Week.”
This is the second TV-centric project for Jukin, after the company set a half-hour format with Dick Clark Productions for international markets earlier this fall.
In October, Jukin Media raised $1.2 million in a new “strategic round” from a group of investors that included Bertelsmann Digital Media Investments and Allen DeBevoise*. At the time, the company’s CEO Jon Skogmo said that the money will be used, in part, to develop original content formats for web and TV.
