As creative director at UCB Comedy, a bi-coastal comedy theater, school and production company, Bieber (no relation to the singer) has produced more than 500 comedy videos for brands, from Google to Excedrin. Branded content helps fund UCB’s other original videos, which Bieber spends the majority of his time working on, he said.

Netflix Signs Distribution Deal With France’s Orange

Netflix has closed a major deal in France that could greatly accelerate the growth of the streaming video company in the territory.

Just two weeks after launching in France, Netflix has signed a deal with Orange, France’s largest telecom group, to have its SVOD service distributed via Orange’s set-top boxes across the country. Orange has some 10 million subscribers in France.

Now the star, who hails from Stockholm, is looking to leave Maker Studios in December in search of his own network, according to a report from the Wall Street Journal.
