Netflix Sets Premiere Date for Final Season of ‘The Killing’
The final season of “The Killing” will premiere on Netflix on August 1, 2014. Created by Veena Sud, the crime drama has had an interesting history with Netflix. After being canceled after two seasons on AMC, Netflix swooped in to save the show. The streaming company agreed to pay a premium to have earlier access to a proposed third season after the season finale had aired on AMC. This allowed AMC to save costs and greenlight a third season.
Hulu Launches ‘Remote Control’ Experience for Plus Users
Hulu has released a new “remote control” capability to connect Hulu Plus on iOS and Android devices to Hulu Plus on connected gaming consoles like Xbox One, PS3, and PS4.

Google‘s Chromecast added more than 100 channels of free web video, and a navigation guide from MediaMail Technologies’ PlayOn. The $35 device already includes apps from Hulu Plus,Pandora and HBO Go since it launched last July.

Trammell will play Richard Paxson, a Washington DC management consultant who’s estranged from his father and brother but is pulled back in to the fray of his family’s gun manufacturing company after a corporate rival, run by their uncle, moves to take them over. Trammell is repped by Innovative Artists.
