Full Replays of NASCAR Races Coming to YouTube
In what is a first for a major racing organization, NASCAR will start uploading full-length replays of upcoming playoff races to YouTube. The streams will be made available on the league’s official YouTube channel free of charge, a week following the event.
“Enhancing the fan experience through NASCAR’s digital properties is at the core of everything we do, and providing free, full-length race replays on YouTube gives our fans another easy way to interact with the sport,” said Colin Smith, managing director of NASCAR Digital Media, in a statement.
This isn’t the first partnership between NASCAR Digital Media and YouTube. Since launching a redesigned digital platform in January 2013 — which included a new YouTube channel — the league has collaborated with multiple YouTube stars on branded entertainment content, including “Epic Meal Time,” EvanTube, and Brodie Smith.
The race replays are part of NASCAR’s overall strategy to make its digital properties the top destination for all NASCAR content, the league said. That said, all of that content is on-demand and doesn’t include the league’s hottest property, live coverage of its weekly races.Tags: Brodie Smith, epic meal time, NASCAR, Sports, youtube, YouTube Creators
