Fullscreen CEO George Strompolos announced today at VidCon that the company will dole out $10 million for a new YouTube series.

The former Google executive stated during his keynote, “These are the creators that have captured a generation…It’s what’s happening now, not what’s about to happen.”

This mindset has led to Fullscreen profitting from investment in its creators in the past. The company operates upwards of 15,000 channels and already works with big name YouTubers like Grace Helbig, the Fine Brothers, and Shane Dawson. Fullscreen’s cumulative channels receive over 2.5 billion views per month.

Strompolos has indicated a desire to kick up his creators’ influence, emphasizing that they begin to “bridge into the world of traditional television.” Yet for now, this major investment will go towards strengthening the creative power of Fullscreen’s talent on the web.
