Fullscreen Hires ‘Camp Takota’ Producer Michael Goldfine as Chief Content Officer

/ Oct 31, 2014

Fullscreen has hired veteran producer Michael Goldfine as its new chief content officer.

In the role, Goldfine will oversee the development and production of premium scripted and unscripted content for Fullscreen, one of the largest multi-channel networks on YouTube.

“Michael brings years of production experience, a contagious entrepreneurial spirit and a unique understanding of digital talent to Fullscreen,” said Fullscreen and CEO George Strompolos in a statement.

Within YouTube circles, Goldfine is best known for producing “Camp Takota,” an independent film starring the trio of Grace Helbig, Mamrie Hart, and Hannah Hart. Helbig, who has close to 2 million subscribers on YouTube as well as a best-selling book, is networked with Fullscreen.

Goldfine comes to Fullscreen from RockStream Studios, the digital media company he founded in 2012 and through which he produced “Camp Takota.” While there, he also produced digital projects for “mainstream” talent like Tim McGraw and Mike Judge, and executive produced Kevin Hart’s comedy special “Let Me Explain.”

Prior to RockStream, Goldfine launched AEG Digital Media, where he worked on projects with the likes of YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter, Jay-Z, Kanye West, and Arcade Fire.

While operating one of the largest MCNs on YouTube, Fullscreen has also been producing “premium content” with some of its top talent attached. Projects include the already-launched digital series “Takei’s Take” for AARP, as well as an upcoming film with The Fine Brothers.
