Fullscreen Taps Damon Berger for VP of Business Development
In the role, Berger will focus on building revenue-generating partnerships for Fullscreen across the company’s portfolio of businesses, from its talent network to brand-services organization and content production units.
Berger comes to Fullscreen from What’s Trending, the production company behind the live online talk-show of the same name. As co-founder and CEO, he helped broker distribution and brand partnerships with the likes of Samsung, Ford, YouTube, and Marriott.
Prior to What’s Trending, Berger was at Twentieth Century Fox Film Corporation, where he served as director of digital marketing. There, he executed digital marketing campaign strategies for the studio’s domestic releases, including blockbusters such as “Avatar,” which netted him some recognition from the Webbys, “The A-Team,” and “Predators.”
A veteran of the digital video industry — long before it was receiving the kind of attention it currently does — Berger has also worked at online video network Revision3 (which was later acquired by Discovery Communications) and Stage 9, a now-defunct digital studio he helped launch for Disney.
At Fullscreen, Berger will report to the company’s president Ezra Cooperstein and will remain based in Los Angeles.Tags: Damon Berger, Exec Moves, fullscreen, MCN, Movers
