Fullscreen’s Head of Production Moves to Portal A
Fullscreen’s head of production Jacob Motz has left the multi-channel network to join Portal A, the digital studio behind the AARP series “Takei’s Take” and last year’s YouTube Rewind video.
At Portal A, Motz will serve as senior producer in the company’s LA office. In the position, he will lead on a series of branded and independent projects for Portal A.
As head of production at Fullscreen, Motz led the network’s branded content operation. He served as an executive producer on shows like “Takei’s Take” and Ford’s “One Tank Adventure,” which was created by Devin Graham (Devin SuperTramp), as well as a video Lindsey Stirling did with NBC called “Elements.”
“We first met Jacob when we teamed up with Fullscreen on the AARP series Takei’s Take, which just won a People’s Voice Webby,” said Zach Blume, partner at Portal A, in a statement. “Motz is an incredible talent who understands the digital space as well as anyone. He’ll be in a leadership role at Portal A as we continue to lead the way in the development, production, and distribution of branded and original content for the web.”
With the hiring of Motz, Portal A’s headcount grows to 15.Tags: Exec Moves, fullscreen, Jacob Motz, Movers, portal A, Takei's Take, youtube
