Hasbro Promotes Stephen Davis to Chief Content Officer
Hasbro just created (and filled) the role of executive VP, chief content officer, promoting Stephen Davis to the post.
In the role, Davis will lead multi-platform content development while continuing to oversee Hasbro Studios in Los Angeles, which he’d been heading for the company. He will also lead in-house production at the company’s Cakemix Studios and continue work on the Discovery Family channel, which is owned by both Hasbro and Discovery Communications.
Davis will report to the president of Hasbro Brands, John Frascotti, with whom he’ll work closely on managing Discovery Family. The chief content officer’s responsibilities will extend to Hasbro content “across digital, television, animated, and live action films,” said Davis, meant to reach consumers all over the world.
Davis has been at Hasbro’s LA studios since it launched in 2009. Before working at Hasbro, he served as the CEO of Family Entertainment Group, LLC, where he also worked on expanding their digital video repertoire.Tags: cakemix studios, Discovery Communications, discovery family, Executive Hire, Hasbro, Hasbro Studios, stephen davis
